Itinerary 2024/2025

Your safari adventure begins with a seamless pickup from the airport or your hotel by our guide, depending on your itinerary and arrival time. Afterward, embark on a scenic 4-hour train journey to the town of Voi.

Upon arrival in Voi, you’ll be transferred to the Cheetah Tented Camp, nestled within the Lumo Conservancy bordering Tsavo West National Park.

Enjoy lunch at the camp, then experience your first taste of Africa with an afternoon game drive through the conservancy. Spot wildlife in their natural habitat as your guide shares insights.

As the sun sets, gather around the campfire for an ukulele jam session, creating harmonious melodies that blend with the sounds of the African night. Relish a delicious dinner before overnighting at the tented camp, surrounded by the tranquil wilderness.

After breakfast at the camp, departure for Bura, where we will meet the famous Taita percussionists.

Mr. Mwamburi and his team will immerse us in a typical day in their village, sharing their traditions of cooking, using medicinal herbs, and transforming sisal leaves into fibre. Their enchanting drumming will fill the air as they showcase their cultural heritage.

You’ll have the opportunity to either join Mr. Mwamburi and his family for an authentic lunch experience in the village or return to the camp for lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on a safari, exploring the wilderness and spotting wildlife in their natural habitat. As the sun sets, we’ll return to the camp for an aperitif, accompanied by the melodic sounds of our ukuleles.

Wake up early for a sunrise safari, followed by a visit to two Local Schools. Latika Primary and Mwashoti.

Here, you can interact with the young students and participate in a ukulele jam session/workshop. Lunch at the camp and another safari in the afternoon.

Upon returning to the camp, we will have fun playing the brand new “Ukulele Safari Board Game“, a game created to stimulate musical creativity, learn and have fun.

Wake up early for an exhilarating sunrise safari. Enjoy a picnic breakfast in the midst of this beautiful setting, and then continue your quest to spot the diverse local wildlife in the conservancy.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some well-deserved rest.

As the day draws to a close, prepare for a unique and thrilling night safari, where you’ll have the chance to witness the nocturnal creatures that come alive under the starry African sky.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the camp, savoring the last few moments surrounded by the tranquillity of the area.

Afterwards, it’s time to bid farewell to this incredible adventure and make your way back to Nairobi via Train.
