Upon arrival at the international airport, our airport representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for your overnight stay. Here you can simply relax by the hotel pool or go on a Shopping excursion – into Nairobi to various shops & craft markets.
Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is yours to relax and settle into your accommodation or you can have your first taste of conservation matters in Kenya, with visits projects found in Nairobi – The Giraffe Centre, where you’ll learn about the problems related to the decline of wild giraffes across Africa. The sanctuary also cares for a number of endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, of which fewer than 2,000 remain.
Or visit the Bomas of Kenya. Experience the rich diversity of Kenyan traditional music and dance in our daily cultural performances. Their repertoire consists of over 50 dances from different ethnic communities. With live percussion, string and wind instruments, and diverse, authentic and energetic dancing, Bomas Harambee Dancers will take you on a journey through Kenya’s past and present.
After breakfast, we proceed to the famous Maasai Mara National reserve.
We will travel in 2 vehicles, one with Michela and one with Boris.
Arrive for lunch. The game drives are usually arranged early in the morning and in the afternoon to capture the animals at their busiest. Evening first ukulele workshop at the fireplace!

After Lunch depart for the Lumo Conservancy on a domestic flight at 1400 hours to arrive at 1500 hours. Lions Bluff Lodge is suspended above an ancient elephant migratory corridor, with stunning panoramic views extending across the Lumo Community Sanctuary and the Tsavo eco-system. All rooms and guest areas, take advantage of the incredible vista stretching over the grass plains and the surrounding landscapes that include Mt Kilimanjaro, the smoke-grey peaks of the Pare Mountains, Taita hills/Chyulu hills on the right and Mkomazi/Usambara mountains on left. The conservancy is rich in history too, a great deal of the World War 1 war fought, won and lost by the European superpowers and their allies in their backyard. With plenty to do and see, there is no room for boredom in the conservancy.

After breakfast and a game drive on-route, embark on a scenic road trip to Chale Island, with packed lunches.
Time to fully relax! The experience of the white beaches and blue waters of the Chale Island can only be sweeter with some music on the side! We will be sitting on the beach during sunset and learning traditional African and Kenyan rhythms playing ukulele songs and composing our musical diary together!

After breakfast, for those departing from Nairobi, embark by Safarilink. Departure is at 1530 hours to arrive Wilson Airport at 1710 hours. Transfer to your hotel (accommodation booked on your own arrangement) or JKI Airport. End of Safari.
