Meet the Dik Dik. Small enough to fit in your pal Meet the Dik Dik.

Small enough to fit in your palm. Loud enough to fill the room.

Just like the real dik-dik, one of Africa’s tiniest antelopes, this ukulele defies its size. Dik-diks stand barely 40cm tall, yet their alarm call cuts through the entire savannah.

Ours does the same to a room full of silence.
And here’s the best part: dik-diks mate for life, never straying more than a few feet from their partner.

This ukulele is built for the same kind of loyalty, the one instrument that stays by your side, wherever the road takes you.
Tiny. Fierce. Always with you.
Dik Dik, the ukulelino that never leaves your side

Handmade with love by @waiz_ukuleles

A leopard doesn’t need to roar to be noticed. It m A leopard doesn’t need to roar to be noticed. It moves with confidence, curiosity, and a quiet kind of beauty.

That’s exactly what the Chui ukulele reminds me of. Light, elegant, and full of character, it’s an instrument that stands out without trying too hard. Like its namesake, it has its own unique personality and leaves a lasting impression.

I’m happy to share that the Chui is now available on the Motu website. If you’ve been curious about it, now is the perfect time to take a look.

With every purchase one ukulele or one music lesson is shared with children in Kenya helping music grow where it begins.

Meet the Chui Ukulele, born from a collaboration b Meet the Chui Ukulele, born from a collaboration between Ukulele Safari and @ukulelemotu

In Swahili, Chui means leopard.

Like the leopard, this little ukulele may be small, but it is powerful, agile, and impossible to ignore. Its strong voice and bold character make it stand out wherever it goes.

Even better, every Chui Ukulele purchased helps make music accessible to children in Kenya. For each Chui sold, we will either donate a ukulele or provide music lessons to a child.

A big thank you to Sylvain from Motu Ukulele for believing in this project and helping turn this dream into reality.

Hidden quietly inside the photo hide in Samburu, w Hidden quietly inside the photo hide in Samburu, we found ourselves just meters away from a herd of elephants — so close you could hear the splash of water, the rustle of ears, the soft rumbles of communication.

Look at the young one, carefree and full of joy, playing in the water like it was the best day of its life. And maybe it was.

During our Ukulele Safari 2025, we’ll visit not one, but two incredible photo hides — one in Samburu and one in Lumo Conservancy.

This is where music begins — not in a studio, but in the stillness of nature, in the joy of a baby elephant, in the magic of the wild.

Let's make this happen. Again.

🎶 "Imagine a guitar… imagine a piano…" That’s how 🎶 "Imagine a guitar… imagine a piano…"

That’s how music was being taught in some public schools in Kenya — not with instruments in hand, but with words and imagination alone. Can you picture that?

No strings to strum. No keys to press. Just dreams.

But dreams are powerful.

Thanks to Ukulele Safari, and our incredible supporters over 105 children now hold real instruments in their hands.
They're not just imagining music — they’re making it. Feeling it. Living it.

Let's make this happen again.

One of the highlights of our Ukulele Safari is the One of the highlights of our Ukulele Safari is the "Day with the Taita".

We will be spending a day with this amazing, happy and friendly tribe, learning about their culture and traditions.

We will cook their traditional meal, transform Sisal leaves in ropes and join them in the vibrant Mwazindika ceremony, dancing to the hypnotic rhythm of the drums.

You'll never forget this.
