Meet the Chui Ukulele, born from a collaboration between Ukulele Safari and @ukulelemotu

In Swahili, Chui means leopard.

Like the leopard, this little ukulele may be small, but it is powerful, agile, and impossible to ignore. Its strong voice and bold character make it stand out wherever it goes.

Even better, every Chui Ukulele purchased helps make music accessible to children in Kenya. For each Chui sold, we will either donate a ukulele or provide music lessons to a child.

A big thank you to Sylvain from Motu Ukulele for believing in this project and helping turn this dream into reality.

Hidden quietly inside the photo hide in Samburu, we found ourselves just meters away from a herd of elephants — so close you could hear the splash of water, the rustle of ears, the soft rumbles of communication.

Look at the young one, carefree and full of joy, playing in the water like it was the best day of its life. And maybe it was.

During our Ukulele Safari 2025, we’ll visit not one, but two incredible photo hides — one in Samburu and one in Lumo Conservancy.

This is where music begins — not in a studio, but in the stillness of nature, in the joy of a baby elephant, in the magic of the wild.

Let's make this happen. Again.

We will be spending a day with this amazing, happy and friendly tribe, learning about their culture and traditions.

We will cook their traditional meal, transform Sisal leaves in ropes and join them in the vibrant Mwazindika ceremony, dancing to the hypnotic rhythm of the drums.

You'll never forget this.

Lions are apex predators, second in size only to the tiger (not found in Africa...).

They hunt a wide range of prey but Their primary targets are medium to large-sized hoofed animals like wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes.

While lionesses in open savannas typically do most of the hunting, Males are also skilled hunters, especially in scrub or wooded areas, and nomadic males hunt for themselves.
